We have recently funded a number of innovative clips to secure the bloodlines during dialysis. Tarsem Paul, LAKPA vice chair worked with the renal team to arrange trials which were very well received by patients. Their introduction will also represent a cost saving as they are unique to the individual patient and can be reused, unlike the previous method of adhesive plasters which are discarded after each use.

The clips have now been successfully introduced in all five dialysis units and patients have the choice of either method of securing the lines.
